Ages 5-6:
Indoor House League Soccer Games
- Futsal House League Boys ages 5-6, Mondays, Twentieth Street School Gym, 6:00pm-7:00pm, Fall Block 1 FULL, spots available in Fall Block 2 starting Nov 18
Futsal House League on Mondays runs in 4 weeks Blocks during the indoor season. This program is designed for players that never played in a summer house league or have been only in our Tiny Tots ages 3-4 program. Focus is on 3 v 3 games, lots of touches on the ball and building confidence in the game.
Skills Girls Ages 5-6 – Sundays, starts Oct 27
- Focuses on individual player skills development i.e. running with the ball, dribbling, passing, receiving, shielding and building confidence in 1 v 1 situations, shooting
Mini Masters Ages 5-6 – Sundays, starts Oct 27
- Focuses on individual player skills development i.e. running with the ball, dribbling, passing, receiving, shielding and building confidence in 1 v 1 situations, shooting
Football School Soccer Ages 5-6 Tuesdays & Friday, starts Oct 8, 3 spots available
- Tuesdays technical training and Friday “School Yard” style 4 v 4 league games. Fall block duration 10 weeks.
- NEW: After first 2 weeks coaches will create permanent teams for Friday games. From the 3rd week teams will play one game each week (format 2 x 22min halves)

- Technical training on Tuesdays and “Skills Girls” 3 v 3 games on Fridays. Fall block duration 8 weeks.

- Indoor Soccer League Boys ages 7-8, Sundays, Olympium Gym, games start 9:15am or 11:05am, game fixtures will be provided
Football School Soccer Ages 7-8, Tuesdays & Fridays – Fall Block FULL, spots available in Winter Block
- Tuesday of technical training and Friday of “School Yard” 4 v 4 league games. Fall block duration 10 weeks.

- Indoor Soccer League Boys ages 9-10, Sundays, Olympium Gym, games start at 11:05am or 12:00pm
Football School Soccer, Ages 9-10, Monday & Fridays – starts Oct 7, 4 spots available
- One day of technical training and one day of “School Yard” 4 v 4 league games. Fall block duration 10 weeks.

- Spectators/guardians allowed in the spectators area. No guardians/spectators allowed on the playing/training field
COACHES’ RECOMMENDATION:
- Technical training + Futsal League Soccer Games = Success
- We recommend that you train on multiple days to maximize your soccer skills development

Academy Program Goals:
The primary technical focus will be as follows….
Footwork technique, to play in small spaces on the field. All players should be able to dribble and win 1 v 1’s
- Coordination and agility to increase mobility, first touch and ball manipulation
- First touch to set up the second touch
- Dribbling, dribbling, dribbling, moves to beat an opponent
- Ball mastery one, control of the ball under speed and pressure
- Ball mastery two, high performance, advanced ball skills at speed
- Player Progress Report, More frequent player progress reporting
The goal for each academy player is to be able to consistently demonstrate the necessary high ball skill standards to impact a game. All RYFC academy players must have the confidence and ability with the ball at their feet.
