Ages 5-6:

Indoor House League Soccer Games

  • Futsal House League Boys ages 5-6, Mondays, Franklin Horner Community Center, 6:00pm-7:00pm – starts Nov 273 spots available

Futsal House League on Mondays runs in 4 weeks Blocks during the indoor season. This program is designed for players that never played in a summer house league or have been only in our Tiny Tots ages 3-4 program. Focus is on 3 v 3 games, lots of touches on the ball and building confidence in the game.

  • WINTER Indoor House League Boys ages 5-6, Saturdays, games played between 9:00am-12:00pm. Starts Feb 10, registration now open.

Winter Indoor hose League is runs from February to May and it is recommended for players that have some soccer experience either playing house league or being in technical programs. If this is the first experience with hose league soccer we recommend joining Monday Futsal House League instead.

Mini Masters Ages 5-6 – Wednesdays – starts Nov 29, 2 spots available

  • Focuses on individual player skills development i.e. running with the ball, dribbling, passing, receiving, shielding and building confidence in 1 v 1 situations, shooting

COACHES’ RECOMMENDATION:

  1. Technical training + Futsal League Soccer Games = Success
  2. We recommend that you train on multiple days to maximize your soccer skills development

Grassroots Program Goals:

  • Development and refinement of basic skills

  • Introduction to new and more difficult skills

  • All players to be comfortable with the ball at their feet
  • All players to be able to play in our house league with skill and confidence

  • Players who achieve the required skills level will be invited to Football School or Junior Academy

Skillz Girls Programs Goals:

  • NEW specialized program for ages 6-7 and 8-9

  • Introduction to new and more difficult skills

  • All players to be comfortable with the ball at their feet
  • All players to be able to play in our house league with skill and confidence

  • Players who achieve the required skills level will be invited to Football School or Junior Academy

Academy Program Goals:

The primary technical focus will be as follows….
Footwork technique, to play in small spaces on the field. All players should be able to dribble and win 1 v 1’s
  • Coordination and agility to increase mobility, first touch and ball manipulation
  • First touch to set up the second touch
  • Dribbling, dribbling, dribbling, moves to beat an opponent
  • Ball mastery one, control of the ball under speed and pressure
  • Ball mastery two, high performance, advanced ball skills at speed
  • Player Progress Report, More frequent player progress reporting
The goal for each academy player is to be able to consistently demonstrate the necessary high ball skill standards to impact a game. All RYFC academy players must have the confidence and ability with the ball at their feet.
