RYFC Soccer School – Your Path to Rep Soccer

Our Soccer School is the absolute building block for individual player development in a team setting. This is your starting point on the pathway to playing on a competitive Rep team.

Players progress to a more advanced technical level than what they were exposed to in our Mini Masters technical soccer program. The RYFC Football School brings more focus on mechanical movements, player balance and technical ball skill work.

  • Best time to start: The optimum start for players in our Football School is between 5&6 especially after being in Mini Masters Program. Players are expected to show a satisfactory level on maturity, focus and listening.

  • Desired Result: Players in our Football School will develop their skills in an organize team environment.

  • Players who demonstrate a high level of dedication, a strong desire to learn and consistent technical improvement will get a chance to represent Royal York FC in various games and league play opportunities free of charge.

  • All league games are on us! At the age of 9 our soccer school players are expected to graduate to play on our competitive rep team.

  • Facts to consider: 70% of players on our competitive teams are graduates from our Football School. Two of our graduates are playing for TFC academy and one for few other top academies.

Ages 5 – 6: Soccer School (co-ed)

This program is the preparation building block for individual player development in a team setting.

Players who have progressed and are able to consistently demonstrate good ball handling, passing and shooting skills will be invited to represent Royal York FC in various exhibition games and festival/tournaments free of charge. All games are on us!

Ages 7 – 8: Soccer School (co-ed)

RYFC’s co-ed Soccer School for boys & girls ages 7-8 is your entry point into rep competitive soccer. At this stage greater emphasis is placed on individual player technique in a team environment.

The RYFC Football School ages 7-8 is focused on advancing mechanical movements, player balance and technical ball skill work.

Players who have progressed and are able to consistently demonstrate a high standard in the area of player maturity, ball handling skills and a good understanding of team work will be invited to represent Royal York FC in various exhibition and festival/tournament games free of charge.

All games are on us! Our Football School players at the age of 9 are expected to try out for our rep teams.

Ages 9 – 12: Soccer School (co-ed)

RYFC’s Football School ages 9-12 is a continuation of our Football School ages 7-8. Our coaches will be scouting players graduating from this program for our Rep teams.

The RYFC Football School ages 9-12 is focused on advancing technical skills on the ball, players movement with and without a ball in the game environment, mechanical movement and balance.

Players who have progressed and are able to consistently demonstrate a high standard in the area of player maturity, ball handling skills and a good understanding of team work will be scouted for our Rep teams.

RYFC Football School is the preparation for your team soccer pathway.

Ages 12 – 14: Soccer School (co-ed)

Don’t miss our NEW Football School soccer program. All levels welcome! RYFC’s Football School ages 12-14 is a continuation of our Football School ages 9&10.

The program is designed for teens and tweens aged 12-14. The focus is on technical conditioning and ball control in a series of interval training.

This program will not only develop soccer skills but it will improve disposition, decision making, humour, sleep and health.
